Smile, smile, smile! We know there will be a fair amount of stress involved with preparing for the day, but everything will be fine! The most beautiful photos and video will be of you looking relaxed, stress-free and happy!
Romance is everything. Loving looks, hugs, embraces and lots and lots of kisses put the magic in your images and video.
A Pretty Bride’s Room – natural light is best, but most important is free of clutter. We don’t expect you to keep the room tidy, you have much bigger things to do! We will help as much as possible with this.
Please no gum. We will gently remind you.
Walk Slowly during the ceremony. It looks better and gives us enough time to capture several images of the bride, bridesmaids and all involved in the processional.
Schedule enough time for photos and filming Family photos and portraits can take a while so make sure you not only allow for this in your time-line, but also have enough time for romantic shots of just the two of you with your wedding filmmaker and photographer. We suggest 15-20 minutes in addition to your formal photography session to get some beautiful eye candy for your wedding film.
Sunset photos are magic. Even though it may take a few minutes out of your evening, sunset photos are well worth it! We promise it can these magical images can be taken in as little as ten minutes.
Important dances work best before dinner. You have your guests’ attention before dinner. Once they’ve eaten an been to the bar a few times, they become more sociable and talkative. They want to get up and stretch, walk around, chat, etc.
We cannot say enough about good lighting. Reception lighting makes a big difference in how your photos and video look. The room should be light without being too bright. Uplighting and candle lighting is a great way to go. Soft creamy or pastel colors work well. Spotlights on rotating colors for guest dancing are ok, but keep it soft during the special dances, cake-cutting and toasts. If possible, don’t turn off all the lights during the guest dancing.
